Backend Engineer – Hybrid in Israel

Description
- Create game features designed to support lasting player engagement
- Develop and own backend infrastructure serving millions of users
- Drive solutions from requirements and architecture through production delivery and performance measurement
- Collaborate with Client/Unity developers, Product, and BI teams
- Maintain production systems, set up actionable alerts, and diagnose underlying bug causes
- Use Claude Code and internal agent tools to design, implement, test, review, and troubleshoot software
- Contribute to shared AI-agent capabilities, internal integrations, and engineering workflows
- Assess and introduce new technologies, tools, and third-party frameworks
- Scale services for high API traffic and demand surges during live events
- Build modern systems with AWS, Kubernetes, Node.js, TypeScript, Redis, and MySQL
Requirements
- At least 3 years of practical experience designing, architecting, and developing complex server applications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
- Substantial hands-on experience working in a cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Professional experience with at least one major backend language, including Node.js, Java, or C#
- Strong initiative in assessing and applying emerging technologies to challenging engineering problems
- Working knowledge of data modeling and caching with relational databases such as MySQL and Redis
- Proactive approach to problem solving, execution, and delivering production-ready code
- Production experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or comparable tools
- Ability to structure tasks for AI agents, supply relevant context, and validate their results
