Azure DevOps Engineer – Remote Contract in Serbia

Manage Azure infrastructure, deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux systems for Uvation. Optimize secure, reliable cloud operations while supporting a remote team in Serbia.

Description

  • Build and administer Azure infrastructure with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
  • Automate Azure deployments and resource management through DevOps pipelines, scripts, and tooling
  • Track and improve Azure service performance, scalability, and operating costs
  • Develop, maintain, and refine CI/CD pipelines for applications and services hosted on Azure
  • Partner with developers on repositories, build workflows, and deployment automation
  • Maintain effective version-control and release-management processes
  • Operate Linux servers with a focus on uptime, security, and performance
  • Handle system updates, patching, and configuration management with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Investigate networking, security, system, and application-performance problems
  • Apply security controls and best practices across Azure services and Linux infrastructure
  • Perform security reviews and audits, then implement required patches and updates
  • Support compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards
  • Coordinate with development, QA, and operations teams to improve delivery processes
  • Support production systems, including participation in on-call rotations when required
  • Record configurations, procedures, and operational standards for Azure and Linux environments

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and security
  • Advanced Linux administration skills across platforms such as Red Hat, Ubuntu, or CentOS
  • Practical experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or comparable CI/CD tools
  • Working proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or Python
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Background in performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning for cloud and Linux systems
  • Strong analytical ability and systematic troubleshooting skills
  • Clear communication and effective cross-functional collaboration
  • Careful technical documentation skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously while balancing competing priorities
  • Azure Administrator or Azure DevOps Engineer certification is preferred
  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, or Logic Apps is preferred
  • Experience securing cloud networks and configuring VPNs is preferred
  • Familiarity with managing SQL and NoSQL databases in cloud environments is preferred
