Apparel Sales Representative - Hybrid, California

Represent Varsity Spirit across California’s Northern Central Valley by serving schools, coaches, and athletes. Lead fittings, develop customer relationships, and achieve territory sales targets.

Description

  • Develop prospects and plan sales activity across the assigned territory
  • Lead consultations and apparel fittings for coaches and athletes
  • Achieve or surpass assigned territory sales targets
  • Offer candid, knowledgeable guidance on style and fit
  • Build product and fashion expertise through continuous learning
  • Establish trusted, long-term customer relationships
  • Travel throughout the territory for scheduled appointments
  • Maintain an effective, distraction-free home office
  • Recruit participants for summer camp brands
  • Use consultative selling to promote Varsity products
  • Tailor solutions for groups and participants across all age ranges
  • Represent Varsity Brands professionally and operate in line with company values

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least two years of experience in an administrative support role
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting and meet deadlines
  • Ability to learn new technology and use Microsoft Suite
  • Knowledge of the cheer and dance industry
  • Willingness to develop detailed knowledge of product construction, technical specifications, and pricing
  • Ability to maintain a distraction-free home office
  • Reliable transportation for regular in-person customer meetings
  • Strong organizational skills and consistent follow-through
  • Ability to generate leads, forecast sales cycles, anticipate challenges, and develop effective solutions while pursuing or exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to lift 15–30 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, kneel, walk, and drive for extended periods
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business education, or a related field preferred
  • Relevant industry experience preferred
