Android Software Engineer

Description

  • Build and maintain native Android applications.
  • Contribute across the software lifecycle, from gathering requirements and designing features to testing and deployment.
  • Take part in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies.
  • Clarify requirements for new features and improvements.
  • Integrate mobile applications with back-end services through RESTful APIs.
  • Tune application performance and memory use.
  • Follow Google’s design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Create unit and integration tests.
  • Review code and apply feedback.
  • Integrate cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.
  • Investigate and resolve software issues.
  • Improve development processes and practices over time.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and teammates to meet project goals.
  • Track developments in technology and the industry.

Requirements

  • Working proficiency in Kotlin, Java, the Android SDK, and Android Studio.
  • Sound understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of automated testing.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with performance and memory profiling tools.
  • Understanding of Google’s design principles and interface guidelines.
