AI Software Development Engineer – Java/Angular, Lyon Hybrid

Build and industrialize generative AI solutions at Smile using Java, Angular, LLMs, autonomous agents, and microservices. Help advance secure AI capabilities for public-sector and energy organizations.

Description

  • Create AI skills and agents that let LLMs interact with enterprise information systems
  • Integrate language models into Java, Spring Boot 3, and Angular 22 applications
  • Build end-to-end technical proofs of concept for GenAI business-process use cases
  • Apply security by design, traceability, and controlled data access to AI agents
  • Bring AI solutions into production within established microservices standards
  • Partner with DevSecOps teams on AI architecture and technology choices
  • Shape the department’s AI technical direction and delivery initiatives
  • Lead the internal AI community and share expertise with digital teams
  • Track advances in LLMs, autonomous agents, and integration frameworks

Requirements

  • At least five years of software engineering experience, preferably with Java and Spring
  • Established expertise or strong technical interest in artificial intelligence integration
  • Strong command of object-oriented development
  • Proficiency with REST APIs
  • Proficiency in microservices architecture
  • Experience designing, integrating, and securing solutions using LLMs and autonomous agents
  • Strong communication, knowledge-sharing, technical leadership, and team-mobilization skills
  • Professional working proficiency in technical English
  • Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, Ionic, Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab, Maven, Harbor, Sonar, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Excellent understanding of secure software development practices
