AI Governance Manager – PwC, New York City (Onsite)
Lead AI governance, risk, compliance, and control programs for PwC clients in an onsite New York City role. Manage engagements, advise on regulatory requirements, and develop assurance teams.
Description
- Assess governance, risk, and control programs with client-facing teams
- Design and implement governance frameworks supporting client risk and compliance objectives
- Interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical strategic recommendations
- Direct client engagements from planning and budgeting through delivery
- Coach team members and support their professional development
- Partner with leadership to uphold quality and meet client expectations
- Apply risk governance expertise to strengthen internal controls and reduce exposure
- Promote innovation and technology adoption to improve service delivery
- Resolve conflicts and guide challenging stakeholder discussions
- Follow professional standards, technical requirements, and the firm’s code of conduct
- Identify operational improvements that support the firm’s success
- Evaluate relationships and dependencies across system components
- Take ownership of assignments while expanding capabilities beyond familiar areas
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- At least four years of relevant experience
- A preferred field of study includes accounting, business administration or management, computer science or information systems, cybersecurity, economics, engineering, finance, mathematics or statistics, or project or technology management
- Experience with AI and machine learning governance, risk, controls, audit, testing, and validation
- Understanding of AI lifecycles and frameworks such as NIST and ISO
- Experience designing or evaluating AI governance models, policies, standards, and control programs
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency with risk governance methods
- Experience planning and delivering client projects strategically
- Experience using technology and innovation to improve project delivery
- Ability to mentor and develop junior professionals
- Strong analytical ability across complex systems
- Ability to lead through ambiguity with integrity and authenticity
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
- Must not require PwC sponsorship through the H-1B lottery, except where permitted under PwC policy
