AI Cloud Engineer (Hybrid, Ukraine)
Build conversational AI, agentic workflows, and retrieval-augmented generation systems for Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine’s mobile banking platform. Develop secure Java microservices, APIs, and production-grade AI infrastructure.
Description
- Create conversational AI and agent-based solutions for mobile banking support
- Develop orchestration and dialogue flows that connect specialized agents with backend services
- Connect AI agents through A2A and MCP protocols
- Design and deliver RAG systems using retrieval methods, knowledge sources, and vector stores
- Create search and reasoning graphs to resolve complex, multi-step customer requests
- Connect AI capabilities to banking APIs and customer data through secure, controlled access
- Develop microservices and REST APIs for AI and agent workflows
- Implement tool use, function calls, and agent-to-agent interactions
- Build request routing, fallback handling, and human escalation paths
- Create automated tests for AI workflows, integrations, and APIs
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor, diagnose, and continuously enhance AI solutions in production
Requirements
- Substantial commercial experience with Java and scalable microservice or distributed-system development
- Strong grasp of software architecture, clean-code practices, design patterns, and REST API design
- Experience connecting complex enterprise APIs and varied data sources with robust security and authentication, including OAuth2, OIDC, and secrets management
- Demonstrated experience delivering production LLM applications, AI agents, and workflow orchestration with state machines or graphs
- Practical experience with RAG architectures, including hybrid and semantic retrieval, reranking, embeddings, and vector databases
- Deep knowledge of tool and function calling, context management, MCP, and Agent-to-Agent protocols
- Understanding of LLM security and safety practices, including prompt-injection defenses, sandboxed tool execution, data privacy, and access controls
- Fundamental cloud and DevOps experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Linux
- Experience with unit, integration, and distributed-systems testing, plus evaluation of non-deterministic LLM results
- Production observability experience covering distributed tracing, logs, metrics, and AI tracing or evaluations
- Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, ADK, or comparable frameworks and orchestrators is advantageous
- Experience with Qdrant, OpenSearch, or Elasticsearch is advantageous
- Experience building and running MCP servers in enterprise settings is advantageous
- Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS is advantageous
