AI Analyst – Halifax, NS (On-Site)

Help PCL Construction improve construction operations and business decisions through practical AI adoption. The role coordinates use-case discovery, solution delivery, testing, training, and technology evaluation.

Description

  • Partner with teams across the business to identify AI opportunities and apply solutions to operational workflows.
  • Assess workflows, define business problems, and rank AI use cases by value, impact, feasibility, and risk.
  • Document requirements and coordinate the design, configuration, and rollout of AI solutions with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Help prepare business cases, cost-benefit assessments, and implementation plans for AI initiatives.
  • Support user acceptance testing and track AI tool adoption and performance to uncover areas for improvement.
  • Develop user confidence with AI tools through training, practical guidance, and continued support.
  • Monitor developments in AI and help assess and recommend relevant tools and platforms.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in information management, information technology, business administration, computing science, or a related field, or comparable experience.
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in construction operations, project coordination, field coordination, project engineering, operational support, or a related area.
  • Experience supporting construction project teams, field operations, project delivery, or operational functions is strongly preferred.
  • Practical fluency with AI-enabled tools; experience using them in business settings is an asset.
  • Business acumen and knowledge of construction project and operational workflows, with the ability to identify where AI can improve efficiency and project results.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing abilities, including the capacity to explain complex technical ideas and support data-informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of business process mapping and requirements documentation, with the ability to turn business needs into actionable AI solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including interpreting information, recognizing patterns, and developing effective solutions.
