Advanced Project Engineer, Electronic Controllers (Hybrid)

Lead the design, qualification, and compliance of aerospace electronic controllers from concept through production. Manage project scope, schedules, risks, reviews, and customer-facing engineering activities at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies.

Description

  • Lead aerospace electronic controller products through design, qualification, compliance, and production.
  • Work with mechanical, electronics, firmware, and software engineers to deliver technical requirements and objectives.
  • Manage electronics project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, changes, and baselines.
  • Coordinate design reviews and phase-gate assessments.
  • Communicate progress to organisational stakeholders and customers.
  • Prepare engineering cost and effort estimates for proposals.
  • Verify compliance with requirements, quality processes, and applicable procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across local and global locations.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in electronics, software, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience designing digital or analogue electronics and/or embedded software.
  • Experience with requirements and configuration management, quality standards, and aerospace product documentation.
  • Project management experience covering resources, costs, milestones, risks, and changes.
  • Experience using planning tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Experience developing project management operating systems aligned with AS9100, Aerospace Procedures, or equivalent quality standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience leading teams toward successful outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience with commercial or military aerospace governance standards, particularly RTCA/DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254, is desired.
  • Experience with DOORS for requirements management or SAP Advanced Product Quality Planning is desired.
