Advanced English Language Content Developer (Remote - Poland)

Lead English language learning content development at Pearson, overseeing editorial review, vendor delivery, and product quality. Coordinate pedagogy, project timelines, and Pearson standards across print and digital materials.

Description

  • Lead content development and developmental editing for English language learning products
  • Review and approve manuscripts, assessments, scripts, audio and video materials, image briefs, digital content, and related resources
  • Maintain pedagogical quality and practical value for teachers and learners while aligning content with CEFR, GSE, learning outcomes, and Pearson standards
  • Oversee projects from scope and scheduling through documentation, risk management, stakeholder review, and milestone delivery
  • Work with Product, Content Development, Production, Digital, Assessment, Design, Marketing, vendors, authors, and freelancers
  • Coordinate external vendors and partners to maintain clear expectations, quality standards, schedules, and deliverables
  • Assess project risks, recommend solutions, and make content decisions that support timely delivery
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by applying AI and emerging tools to increase quality, efficiency, and scalability

Requirements

  • Demonstrate strong alignment with Pearson’s culture, values, and Essential Behaviors
  • Bring experience in English language teaching, English language learning, educational publishing, or content development
  • Have prior English language teaching experience or substantial ELT expertise
  • Understand ELT and ELL pedagogy, CEFR, GSE, learning outcomes, and language progression
  • Have developed, reviewed, or managed learning materials in print, digital, or both formats
  • Offer strong editorial, quality assurance, stakeholder management, and project management capabilities
  • Have managed vendors, freelancers, authors, or outsourced content development partners
  • Be able to balance multiple priorities, schedules, dependencies, and stakeholders in a complex setting
  • Work confidently and independently, manage ambiguity, identify risks, and recommend practical solutions
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is highly desirable
  • Interest in AI, emerging technologies, and evolving content development practices is desirable
  • Advanced English proficiency is required
