Accounts Payable Specialist I – Hybrid, Philippines
Process vendor invoices, reconciliations, disputes, and month-end activities for Emerson. Support accounts payable controls, expense validation, reporting, and collaboration with internal and external customers.
Description
- Process trade and intercompany vendor invoices in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
- Validate purchase orders and invoices through 2-, 3-, and 4-way matching, standard procedures, and internal controls
- Investigate invoice discrepancies and collect information needed to resolve disputes
- Help manage shared mailboxes and document repositories
- Support month-end closing activities
- Handle payable transactions, including invoice issue resolution, employee expense validation, reporting, and reconciliation
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related accounting discipline
- At least one year of relevant finance and accounting experience, particularly in accounts payable
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced knowledge of internal controls
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- At least six months of accounts payable experience using an accounting ERP system; Oracle or SAP experience is preferred
- Basic knowledge of Power BI and PowerApps is preferred
