Accountant, Online Education Services (Hybrid - Cremorne)

Prepare management accounts, reconciliations, compliance reporting, and financial analysis for Online Education Services. Support budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, and finance process improvements.

Description

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, journals, accruals, and supporting workpapers
  • Support accurate and timely month-end financial reporting
  • Conduct variance analysis and prepare reports for business leaders and budget holders
  • Complete balance sheet and payroll reconciliations
  • Assist with BAS, FBT, audit, and other compliance requirements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities
  • Maintain fixed asset and lease accounting records
  • Provide stakeholders with reporting, analysis, and financial insights
  • Handle finance administration and contribute to accounting projects
  • Support process improvements and system enhancements
  • Report to the Group Financial Controller

Requirements

  • Bring 3–5 years of experience in a comparable accounting role
  • Demonstrated experience with month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, reporting support, and general accounting
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field
  • Hold a CPA or CA qualification, or be actively working towards one
  • Have experience with ERP platforms such as Business Central or similar systems
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail while managing competing priorities
  • Translate financial data into clear, useful business insights
