Senior SQL Server Database Administrator
Administer and improve Kyndryl’s enterprise SQL Server infrastructure in Bangalore or Chennai, supporting performance, security, availability, and disaster recovery. The role covers database operations, lifecycle management, monitoring, and support for application teams.

- Administer SQL Server database infrastructure and operations.
- Design, structure, and document database systems.
- Install, configure, patch, upgrade, migrate, and maintain database management systems.
- Control user access and apply database security measures.
- Create plans for database backup, recovery, restoration, and disaster recovery.
- Help end users and application developers resolve database issues.
- Coordinate database project plans with teams across the organization.
- Recommend and deliver improvements to database performance and reliability.
- Track database health, capacity, and resource use.
- Tune database performance and troubleshoot issues.
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least 15 years of hands-on SQL Server database administration experience, depending on role level.
- Expertise in installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and migrating databases.
- Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, views, functions, and query optimization.
- Experience planning database backup, recovery, restoration, and disaster recovery.
- Practical experience with high availability and disaster recovery technologies, including Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, Replication, and Database Mirroring.
- Strong database performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience monitoring database health, planning capacity, and tracking resource use.
- Proficiency in T-SQL scripting, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016, 2019, or 2022.
- Experience managing SQL-related patching and database lifecycle tasks.
- Experience developing backup and recovery strategies.
- Experience automating tasks with PowerShell, SQL Agent Jobs, and scripting tools.
