  • Protect the safety of project personnel, contractors, agency representatives, clients, and the traveling public by monitoring site operations and traffic conditions
  • Evaluate contractor activities against WISHA regulations and Washington Department of Labor & Industries requirements
  • Lead project staff in keeping accurate records of construction progress, expenditures, budgets, and remaining work-order balances
  • Work with contractors to confirm adherence to project plans, quality criteria, and construction obligations
  • Inspect field work against drawings, specifications, special provisions, utility agreements, and permit requirements
  • Produce project reports and assess daily inspection documentation
  • Maintain project files and measure and record field quantities for contractor payment review
  • Record completed as-built conditions
  • Track schedules and budgets and communicate project status to executive leadership
  • Develop change orders and supporting contract documentation
  • Investigate site conditions, formulate contract modification approaches, and coordinate engineering redesigns
  • Assess CPM schedules, identify delivery risks, and apply mitigation measures
  • Keep a complete daily project diary
  • Assist with contractor dispute resolution and prepare preliminary claim reports
  • Verify that inspections, testing, and quality assurance activities align with the client's Quality Management Plan
  • Arrange special inspections and materials testing with WABO-certified inspectors and accredited laboratories
  • Track TESC requirements and coordinate with the certified erosion and sediment control lead
  • Examine certified payrolls and Washington State Intents and Affidavits for prevailing-wage compliance
  • Confirm that contractor work and deliverables meet client contract requirements
  • Conduct constructability assessments and recommend improvements to design packages
  • Perform the role onsite at client locations and in coordination with project partners

आवश्यकताएँ

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline
  • At least 10 years of construction management experience on transit or public infrastructure projects, preferably including individual projects valued at $30 million or more
  • Three or more years supervising major construction contracts with comparable size and scope
  • Current Washington State driver's license or the ability to obtain one
  • Professional Engineer registration is preferred
  • Comparable construction contract administration experience on transit or public infrastructure projects may be considered
  • Working knowledge of WSDOT and APWA Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction
  • Experience administering construction contracts funded by the Federal Transit Administration
  • Experience with alternative delivery models, especially GC/CM and design-build
  • CESCL certification
  • Experience with electric vehicle charging or transit electrification infrastructure
  • Contractor-side experience as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Project Engineer
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with Procore, e-Builder, Unifier, or comparable construction document management systems
  • Established connections with Washington transit agencies and public works departments are advantageous
