Senior MySQL Database Administrator – Europe Remote
Lead MySQL database infrastructure, reliability, performance, and lifecycle management for a global fintech platform serving banks, hedge funds, and institutional traders.
विवरण
- Contribute to rapid delivery cycles by helping ship dependable, high-quality products
- Develop and operate database infrastructure through hands-on administration
- Own database environments across development, staging, and production
- Manage database security, replication, failover, backups, and performance optimization
- Shape schemas, indexing approaches, queries, and stored procedures
- Establish effective tools, processes, best practices, and architecture standards
- Examine specifications to uncover edge cases and atypical scenarios early
- Partner closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams
- Become the company’s internal authority on database operations
- Guide developers and QA engineers in sound database practices
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least five years of DBA experience, including three or more years working specifically with MySQL
- Practical experience with failover, security, performance optimization, and backup and recovery
- Practical experience designing, testing, and maintaining databases
- Ability to work independently as the company’s sole DBA
- Scripting experience with Python and Bash
- Strong troubleshooting ability and a methodical approach to root-cause analysis
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is required
- C++ development experience, particularly integrating C++ applications with MySQL, is desirable
- Experience in financial markets or trading, including protocols such as FIX, is desirable
- Familiarity with Jira, SVN, and Jenkins is desirable
