Senior Commercial Counsel – SaaS Sales

  • Oversee deal desk intake and the preparation and issuance of sales quotes and expansions
  • Prepare and refine quotes, supporting the process from start to finish
  • Maintain and improve quote workflows to meet legal and commercial needs
  • Negotiate NDAs, deal terms, master services agreements, and other commercial contracts
  • Assist with vendor onboarding
  • Improve processes and practices using available systems and tools
  • Identify and apply AI tools to help scale and transform the Legal Department
  • Standardize contract terms used in quoting and sales
  • Track data and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Train Sales and Customer Success teams on processes, requirements, and best practices
  • Lead a one-person team
  • Report to and work closely with the General Counsel
  • Work with Sales and Finance to improve commercial and legal sales processes

आवश्यकताएँ

  • Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership
  • Undergraduate degree or work experience in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related area
  • 7–10 years of relevant commercial legal experience with increasing responsibility supporting sales teams
  • Experience in a fast-paced SaaS sales environment
  • Demonstrated experience with contract lifecycle management, CRM, and related software or platforms, including AI and automation
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and DocuSign
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions
  • Strong communication skills and ability to balance sales, finance, and legal perspectives
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, process thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with distributed or global teams
  • Preferred: Five years of relevant in-house experience as B2B SaaS commercial counsel or in a similar role
  • Preferred: Ability to manage complex SaaS or technology deals
  • Preferred: Knowledge of SaaS commercial and licensing terms, and related metrics
  • Preferred: Experience with third-party risk management, security or risk compliance, or vendor management
  • Preferred: Understanding of AI and data governance in commercial technology transactions
  • Preferred: Financial acumen and knowledge of revenue recognition
  • Preferred: Experience working directly with sales teams
