Senior AI Software Engineer at IDEXX
Lead the development of generative AI tools, autonomous agents, and developer workflows at IDEXX. Help evolve cloud veterinary software that supports improved animal health outcomes.

- Design and deliver scalable AI-enabled developer tools with frameworks including PyTorch and TensorFlow
- Automate code creation, debugging, and testing to streamline software engineering workflows
- Develop autonomous AI agents that can reason, decide, and solve problems independently
- Embed agentic AI capabilities into the SaaS platform for use cases including animal-health predictive analytics and adaptive user experiences
- Partner with engineering tribes to uncover bottlenecks and test AI-assisted solutions
- Create natural-language interfaces for DevOps work
- Promote engineering best practices and support the growth of junior engineers
- Shape engineering strategy and encourage adoption of advanced developer tools
- Deliver dependable AI integrations across TypeScript, Go, cloud-native and event-driven architectures, domain services, containers, distributed systems, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and reliability engineering
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least five years of professional software engineering experience
- Two or more years specializing in developer experience or developer tooling
- Strong command of software development workflows, CI/CD, Git, testing, and automation
- Practical experience incorporating AI and machine-learning models, including OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source large language models, into engineering workflows
- Proficiency in backend development with Python, Go, or Node.js, along with scripting languages
- Experience creating plugins or extensions for tools such as VS Code, GitHub Apps, or command-line interfaces
- Clear communication skills and empathy for developer challenges
- Experience working with AI platforms such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, or LangChain
- Background in platform engineering, productivity engineering, or DevOps
- Previous contributions to open-source developer tools
- Familiarity with observability and performance tooling
- Knowledge of machine learning, natural language processing, or prompt engineering
