  • Handle lower-level, non-complex workers’ compensation claims within delegated authority limits
  • Report directly to a senior claims professional for guidance and oversight
  • Receive claims, verify policy coverage, and confirm claim acknowledgment
  • Assess claim validity and compensability
  • Set reserves and approve payments within authorized limits
  • Manage non-complex lost-time claims under close supervision
  • Provide claim status updates to customers, claimants, and clients
  • Follow applicable client and carrier procedures
  • Join claims review activities when requested
  • Support claims professionals handling complex or problematic cases
  • Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • At least one year of industry experience
  • Claims management experience is preferred
  • Maintain a current Workers’ Compensation license or certification throughout employment with CorVel
  • Demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication
  • Capacity to learn quickly and build claims-practice knowledge
  • Ability to recognize, assess, and resolve problems
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude, including Microsoft Office and Excel
