- Manage the transportation and logistics department’s daily activities to keep operations efficient and dependable.
- Work with sales, customer service, and other internal teams to fulfill customer requirements.
- Create and execute transportation and logistics plans that improve efficiency, lower costs, and increase profitability.
- Partner with carriers and suppliers to strengthen relationships and maintain dependable transportation services.
- Track operational performance metrics and take corrective action when results fall short.
- Audit transportation and logistics procedures regularly to confirm compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Deliver accurate, timely reports on transportation and logistics performance to management.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts that streamline and optimize transportation and logistics operations.
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least five years of experience managing transportation and logistics operations.
- Freight forwarding experience is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of transportation and logistics regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
- Transportation or logistics certification, such as Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP), is preferred.
- Experience using transportation management software (TMS) is preferred.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
