  • Lead, hire, coach, and develop an engineering team
  • Set objectives, manage performance, and establish a network of security champions
  • Own the division’s application security improvement roadmap in partnership with central cybersecurity
  • Convert business needs and enterprise policies into prioritized initiatives, delivery plans, schedules, resource estimates, and progress reviews
  • Manage team capacity, budgets, tools, and supplier relationships
  • Review technical standards, architectures, and designs for conformance
  • Remove delivery constraints and improve engineering quality and service effectiveness continuously
  • Integrate security by design, threat modeling, secure coding, pull-request reviews, and security testing into the software development lifecycle
  • Guide secure management of secrets, cloud configurations, and third-party dependencies
  • Define documented security gates for software releases
  • Verify API and endpoint authentication, authorization, and access-control reviews before code advances
  • Increase adoption of shared security tools and preventive CI/CD controls
  • Use automation and AI-assisted scanning with appropriate oversight and validated results
  • Lead vulnerability triage, verify findings, remove duplicates, assess business impact, and prioritize high-risk issues
  • Assign remediation ownership, establish timelines, and track findings through verified closure
  • Escalate risk, address systemic root causes, and prioritize fixes for shared platforms
  • Maintain application, asset, and repository inventories with mapped ownership
  • Create portfolio dashboards covering scan coverage, findings, remediation aging, service-level performance, and risk reduction
  • Lead security progress reviews and communicate decisions, trade-offs, and support requirements
  • Coordinate audit evidence, policy alignment, and remediation with cybersecurity and application security teams
  • Develop shared security guidance, training, and documentation
  • Coach internal teams and suppliers while encouraging proactive discovery and responsible self-reporting

आवश्यकताएँ

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Significant experience managing software engineers or serving in a software engineering leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of software development, architecture, integration, and testing
  • Practical experience applying secure development practices to modern applications, APIs, and cloud environments
  • Broad cybersecurity knowledge with sound application security judgment
  • Experience with threat modeling, authentication and authorization, vulnerability validation, remediation, and automated security controls
  • Experience translating security policies and frameworks into engineering controls
  • Experience supporting audits and leading risk-based improvement programs with measurable outcomes
  • Working knowledge of OWASP guidance and security testing tools
  • Experience with static and dynamic analysis, dependency and secret scanning, and integrating controls into delivery pipelines
  • Track record of establishing security champion programs, improving engineering practices, and using dependable metrics to drive adoption, remediation, and recurring-risk reduction
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and program leadership skills
  • Ability to influence across teams, explain technical risk in business terms, and balance security, quality, cost, and delivery speed
  • Experience scaling application security across a complex or global enterprise, including product-oriented or Agile delivery and collaboration with central security teams preferred
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CSSLP, or GIAC application security credentials preferred
  • A related master’s degree or comparable advanced expertise demonstrated through practice preferred
  • Knowledge of products and services, organizational leadership, software development, SDLC, software integration engineering, software product design and architecture, software quality assurance and testing, and IT service management
  • Must be based in Chicago, Illinois; Peoria, Illinois; Denver, Colorado; or Dallas, Texas
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
