Grants Management Consultant — United States Remote
Remote, project-based consulting role supporting public agencies with grant assessments, internal controls, procedures, and post-award administration design. Occasional client travel is required.

- Conduct grant-management assessments, update policies, and design post-award administration processes
- Evaluate how agencies track applications, awards, drawdowns, reporting, and closeout
- Find control weaknesses involving allowability, matching funds, subrecipient oversight, and documentation
- Develop practical procedures and clarify responsibilities for grants and finance teams
- Recommend necessary system fields and reports without owning full system implementation
- Support proposal narratives on grants expertise and past performance when authorized to name relevant experience
- Apply the federal, state, and local grant requirements relevant to each engagement
आवश्यकताएँ
- Background managing or advising on post-award grants administration for a public agency or pass-through organization
- Practical knowledge of allowability, matching requirements, reporting, and subrecipient monitoring
- Ability to describe at least two grant programs or agencies and your role in each
- Strong procedural writing skills for grants-office use
- Willingness to work as a 1099 consultant on project-based engagements with occasional client travel
- Experience applying Uniform Guidance to federal pass-through funding is preferred
- Experience using a grants management system for a city, county, state, or school system is preferred
