Strategic Buying Services Analyst I - Romania Remote

Lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiations, and cost optimization for Conduent’s global purchasing operations. The role combines procurement analytics, sourcing governance, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination in a remote Romania-based position.

Tavsif

  • Manage key suppliers and apply advanced sourcing and end-to-end commodity management practices across assigned direct purchasing categories
  • Use program timelines, supplier lead times, and production capacity data to support purchasing decisions
  • Drive cost optimization through competitive bidding, eAuctions, electronic catalogs, blanket contracts, commodity planning, opportunity assessments, business intelligence, and spend analytics
  • Own cost savings goals and deliver results against established targets
  • Lead process improvements while ensuring performance against key performance indicators
  • Coordinate low-value and urgent purchase requests with the remote Transactional Purchasing Services team
  • Build commodity expertise and establish sourcing strategies informed by market conditions, pricing trends, and technology developments
  • Manage the complete purchasing sourcing cycle, from bid-list planning and RFQ preparation through negotiations, supplier selection, approvals, and contract or purchase order issuance
  • Ensure sourcing activities, contracts, and purchase orders follow corporate purchasing policies and procedures
  • Address complex commercial matters and identify, mitigate, and resolve supplier risks
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coordination support to fellow buyers

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in procurement, accounting, business, or engineering
  • At least five years of experience negotiating, sourcing, and managing contracts, including ownership of complex procurement activities
  • Experience with direct purchasing and chassis tools is advantageous
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and SAP
  • Very strong spoken and written English skills at C1 level or above
  • Knowledge of another European language is advantageous
  • Advanced negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage several complex projects, and meet tight deadlines
  • Advanced analytical ability for complex problems requiring strategic evaluation
  • Willingness to travel as required
