Senior Director of AI, MaintainX — California Remote
Lead MaintainX’s AI organization and strategy across agentic AI, predictive modeling, and machine learning. Build the platforms and products that improve industrial operations and reduce operational downtime.
Tavsif
- Set and expand MaintainX’s AI strategy, operating model, and organization
- Advance agentic AI and machine learning innovation for industrial operations
- Create Work Intelligence solutions for frontline teams, scheduling, inventory, and operational insights
- Develop Asset Intelligence products using machine and sensor data, predictive models, prescriptive recommendations, and automated workflows
- Build GTM Intelligence agents, tools, and internal products for revenue, service, and operations teams
- Guide predictive, generative, and agentic AI strategy across MaintainX and potentially Autodesk Operations Solutions
- Work closely with Engineering, Product, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support
- Establish long-term product and platform direction, milestones, and KPIs
- Help engineers integrate agentic AI tools into feature development
- Turn AI and machine learning research into production-ready capabilities
- Lead scalable agentic AI platforms, including RAG systems, evaluation programs, and orchestration frameworks
- Develop ingestion, processing, and inference pipelines for millions of unstructured documents and videos
- Deliver predictive models using tabular, vibration, IoT, and multimodal sensor data
- Ensure models are explainable, trusted, and integrated into MaintainX workflows
- Grow a high-performing AI organization spanning platform, machine learning, and product teams
- Recruit and develop technical leaders while establishing a high-performance culture
- Represent AI initiatives with executives, customers, and industry stakeholders
- Partner with Product and Design to create AI-powered workflows
- Work with go-to-market teams on AI messaging, customer pilots, pricing strategies, and case studies
Talablar
- At least 12 years of experience in applied AI and machine learning
- At least 7 years of experience leading teams at high-growth, data-driven technology companies
- Demonstrated success designing, building, and deploying predictive deep learning models in production at scale
- Experience with ranking and recommendation systems, anomaly detection, forecasting, or multimodal models
- Proven ability to build AI and machine learning teams, hire senior technical leaders, and scale organizations through growth
- Deep expertise in one or more of multimodal machine learning, MLOps, or agentic AI frameworks
- Ability to move between architecture reviews and strategic planning with executive leadership
- Strong communication and cross-functional influence skills, including executive presentations
- Entrepreneurial approach with the ability to balance long-term direction and near-term delivery
