Senior Angular Frontend Engineer – MAPFRE, Madrid Hybrid
Senior Angular frontend engineer responsible for defining and developing the frontend of MAPFRE’s agentic AI platform. Sets technical standards and supports international teams.
Tavsif
- Define the Angular frontend architecture, patterns, and standards for the platform
- Build complex interfaces that expose AI agent activity throughout the software lifecycle
- Make technical decisions about frontend evolution while contributing actively to implementation
- Collaborate with product and backend teams to deliver a consistent user experience
- Maintain high standards for presentation-layer performance, accessibility, and code quality
- Create frontend technical guidelines covering modules, state management, and coding conventions
- Audit and improve the technical quality of the existing Angular codebase
- Participate in code reviews for other developers
- Provide technical guidance to AI agents building frontends that follow established standards
- Help develop the platform that orchestrates AI agents
- Provide technical support to teams in different countries using deployed projects
Talablar
- At least 10 years of frontend development experience, including intensive Angular work on large-scale production projects
- Demonstrated experience delivering more than 10 complex application projects and defining their frontend technical design from the ground up
- Expert knowledge of TypeScript and the Angular ecosystem, including RxJS, NgRx or a similar state-management solution, reactive forms, and lazy loading
- Experience making high-level frontend architecture decisions while remaining actively involved in day-to-day development
- Strong experience using AI agents to build frontends
- Experience developing with agent-based tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode, or OpenHands
- Knowledge of the UI/UX ecosystem, design systems, component libraries, and tools such as Figma
- Production experience with frontend testing using Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, Playwright, or comparable tools
- Willingness to continue programming actively
- Experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD)
- React experience is valued
- At least two years of experience in insurance or large-scale enterprise applications is valued
- C1 level of English
- Ability to collaborate on international projects and with distributed teams
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and with stakeholders at different levels
- Proactive approach and strong problem-solving orientation
- Communication skills to adapt messages for technical and non-technical audiences
