Legal Consultant, Intellectual Property – Singapore (Hybrid)
Advise a global technology platform on intellectual property governance across Singapore and Southeast Asia. Manage IP risks, disputes, regulatory developments, stakeholder relationships, and regional initiatives.
Tavsif
- Help business teams create, implement, and maintain regional IP governance policies, guidance, training materials, SOPs, and operating processes
- Recommend tools and workflows that enhance experiences for users and IP rights holders while reducing IP exposure
- Investigate and help resolve significant local IP disputes, complaints, and incidents
- Work with Policy, Operations, Product, Trust & Safety, and other teams to assess legal risks and develop scalable responses
- Build and maintain relationships with brands, industry groups, law enforcement, regulators, and other external parties
- Attend external engagements, provide legal guidance and talking points, create SOPs, and review agreements, memoranda, and related documents
- Track IP legislation, regulations, enforcement approaches, industry standards, and commercial developments in Singapore and Southeast Asia
- Advise on or lead programs that address new and changing legal or regulatory obligations
- Create and deliver intellectual property training and educational programs
- Spot developing IP risks and propose practical solutions aligned with business needs
- Lead or contribute to regional projects through planning, stakeholder alignment, progress tracking, and on-time execution
Talablar
- At least four years of relevant legal experience, ideally including substantial intellectual property work
- In-depth understanding of Singaporean and/or Southeast Asian IP law, regulation, enforcement, and industry standards
- Background advising on IP matters in technology, platform, e-commerce, social media, or another high-velocity environment
- Skill in assessing legal and regulatory exposure and converting it into practical, commercially viable advice
- Capacity to collaborate across functions, regions, and teams while handling competing priorities and demanding timelines
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities
- Self-directed approach with ownership of projects from initial concept through delivery
- Comfort working in a rapidly changing and continuously developing environment
- Valid legal authorization to work
- Ability to complete a background check and provide identity verification if requested
