Tavsif

  • Own the production platform’s operational health, availability and reliability
  • Improve performance, capacity, scalability and resilience as the product and community expand
  • Define service metrics, alerting and operational standards
  • Establish 24/7 infrastructure support through on-call coverage and response procedures
  • Help develop a reliability engineering team over time
  • Strengthen security across cloud infrastructure, networking, access, secrets and deployment environments
  • Integrate security into infrastructure design and delivery
  • Direct technical responses to major incidents
  • Maintain and regularly test escalation, on-call, backup and disaster recovery procedures
  • Lead blameless reviews after incidents
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling and release practices
  • Promote infrastructure as code, reproducible environments and automation
  • Own infrastructure planning for capacity, lifecycle, cost and technology decisions
  • Retire ageing infrastructure components in a considered way
  • Document critical systems, architectural decisions and dependencies
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentor colleagues and shape engineering decisions
  • Manage company IT, including hardware, security, and employee onboarding and offboarding

Talablar

  • Substantial experience managing production cloud infrastructure for public-facing digital products
  • Bare-metal experience is advantageous, as is an interest in working with it
  • Strong practical experience in DevOps, site reliability, platform or infrastructure engineering
  • Experience with containers, orchestration, infrastructure as code and modern deployment pipelines
  • Experience creating monitoring, observability, alerting, backup, recovery and incident-management practices
  • Solid understanding of systems architecture, networking, security and distributed systems
  • Track record of improving performance, resilience and operational maturity in a growing organization
  • Experience supporting high-traffic platforms is valuable
  • Genuine interest in film, television and the communities built around them
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux or Ubuntu, Cloudflare, Grafana, Sensu, Ansible, Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD and shell scripting, or comparable tools
