ASC Billing Specialist, Remote in Ohio

Handle coding and billing for ambulatory surgery center and hospital charges across U.S. Urology Partners’ urology services network. The role also covers accounts receivable, denial management, and insurance billing.

Opis

  • Review clinical records to code and submit post-surgery and hospital charges for insurance billing.
  • Support CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  • Keep the Team Lead and/or Supervisor informed.
  • Protect patient information in line with confidentiality policies.
  • Follow applicable government and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete required training and in-services on schedule.
  • Manage accounts receivable for the ambulatory surgery center.
  • Carry out other assigned duties.
  • Travel locally during the workday, with occasional out-of-area and overnight trips possible.

Zahteve

  • Knowledge of accounts receivable, denial management, and CPT/ICD-10 coding.
  • At least three years of related accounts receivable experience.
  • One year of ambulatory surgery center claims experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years of related accounts receivable or medical billing experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of computer information systems.
  • Ability to solve practical problems involving varied concrete factors.
  • Ability to interpret written, spoken, diagrammed, or scheduled instructions.
  • Ability to meet role-related physical demands, including frequently lifting or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to complete required training and in-services, including annual OSHA training and PPD placements.
