Turkish-Speaking Accounting Associate — Remote in the United States

Accounting Associate supporting tax preparation, bookkeeping, reconciliations, payroll, audits, and financial reporting at Manay CPA Accounting & Tax Services. This full-time remote role serves clients in the United States and requires fluency in Turkish and English.

Descriere

  • Support onboarding for assigned client engagements
  • Contribute to client acquisition and retention efforts
  • Maintain organized digital and physical financial records
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping entries, monthly close, financial reporting and analysis, payroll, and special projects
  • Prepare depreciation schedules, sales journals, and sales tax returns, and reconcile payroll records with employment tax returns
  • Work with managers and Associates to deliver timely accounting support and meet deadlines
  • Prepare and file corporate and individual income tax returns
  • Maintain client inventory records, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, internal management reports, and ad hoc reports
  • Prepare year-end audit schedules and assist with audits
  • Document, design, and test financial statement and performance processes
  • Support accounting systems and spreadsheet automation
  • Complete other related duties within the scope of the role

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a master’s degree is advantageous
  • CPA qualification or progress toward CPA certification is preferred
  • Related certifications such as EA, Turkish CPA, or ACCA will also be considered
  • At least two years of professional bookkeeping and accounting experience
  • Experience at a CPA firm is strongly preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Professional experience with individual and business tax matters is required
  • International tax experience is advantageous
  • At least two years of experience using accounting software
  • Fluency in Turkish and English
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Commitment to staying current with industry developments and regulatory changes
  • Management experience or willingness to train for a management role
  • Ability to manage financial accounting and reporting projects for for-profit and not-for-profit companies
  • Ability to complete work accurately and on time with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach to office work
  • Ability to work effectively with Authority staff and external contacts
  • Demonstrated ability to protect confidential information
  • Strong organizational abilities
