Senior Software Engineer, Python Healthcare Platform

Descriere

  • Build and maintain Python services, including FastAPI REST APIs, batch jobs, and shared libraries
  • Develop features for claims, eligibility, and drug-pricing workflows
  • Write and optimize MySQL queries, reports, and stored procedures
  • Deliver maintainable, well-structured, unit-tested code
  • Contribute across design, code review, deployment, and production support
  • Partner with other departments to align technical solutions with business objectives
  • Use AI-assisted development tools while owning code correctness, testing, and review
  • Build and support pharmacy and medical claims services, batch data pipelines, and internal web applications

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 3 years of hands-on Python development experience
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, testing, and Git version control
  • Careful, disciplined approach to handling sensitive data
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL; MySQL is preferred
  • Experience building Python REST APIs; FastAPI is preferred
  • Experience with the Atlassian toolset and Agile development practices
  • Comfort working in Linux environments
  • Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar, with sound judgment about reviewing and trusting their output
  • Current authorization to work full time in the United States without employer support, visa transfer support, DSO documentation, or sponsorship now or in the future
  • No need for VIVIO support or sponsorship for immigration-related employment authorization now or in the future
  • HIPAA or PHI experience is a plus
  • AWS experience is a plus
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus
  • Active problem-solving approach and a willingness to figure things out
  • Clear, proactive communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn a complex, regulated business domain
  • Openness to feedback and collaborative code review
