Senior Java Software Engineer
Build secure, scalable payment services at OKTO, a global fintech. Develop Java and Spring microservices, APIs, and transaction-processing systems.
Descriere
- Build and maintain Java and Spring middleware and backend services.
- Deliver product features and platform capabilities to meet business and technical needs.
- Create resilient, high-performance microservices for payment processing and financial transactions.
- Write clean, efficient code and provide thorough unit test coverage.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and secure OAuth2 integrations.
- Resolve issues across testing, user acceptance, and production environments to keep the platform stable.
- Work with product, QA, DevOps, and solution architecture teams.
- Take part in Agile meetings, code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Find ways to improve software quality, engineering processes, and system performance.
- Use version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Document product specifications, designs, and implementation details.
Cerințe
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, information technology, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of professional experience building Java middleware or backend applications.
- At least one year of hands-on experience with Java 11 or later.
- Professional experience in fintech, payments, banking, or financial services.
- Strong grasp of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and functional programming concepts.
- Experience designing Spring Boot and Spring Cloud (Netflix OSS) microservices.
- Solid knowledge of the Spring Framework 5 ecosystem.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization with OAuth2.
- Experience with JPA, ORM modeling, and persistence frameworks.
- Strong REST API design and development experience.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and distributed software design patterns.
- Experience using Git in collaborative source control workflows.
- Understanding of software development practices, including unit testing, clean code, and code reviews.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with an international engineering team.
- Strong technical writing skills for requirements, software designs, and technical specifications.
- Advanced English is required.
- Spanish is required.
