Senior Backend-Focused Full Stack Engineer

Build Java and Spring Boot microservices, APIs, and AWS solutions, with contributions to Vue.js frontends and AI-assisted engineering automation.

Descriere

  • Build and maintain scalable microservices with Java 21+ and Spring Boot.
  • Design secure, robust REST APIs with versioning, idempotency, error handling, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
  • Apply microservices practices such as bounded contexts, service decomposition, distributed transaction management, and Saga patterns.
  • Build event-driven systems with Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging.
  • Apply application security practices including OAuth2, JWT, secure coding, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Improve performance through JVM tuning, profiling, caching, latency reduction, and efficient resource use.
  • Design and optimize database access, SQL queries, indexes, and query execution plans.
  • Build and operate cloud-native and serverless AWS solutions using Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions.
  • Develop backend services and APIs with Node.js and NestJS when appropriate.
  • Automate engineering, testing, deployment, and operations with Python, Node.js, and other scripting tools.
  • Write clean, maintainable, testable code and create unit and integration tests.
  • Prototype solutions, investigate complex issues, and find and fix performance bottlenecks.
  • Build, improve, and maintain frontend applications with Vue.js.
  • Connect frontend applications to backend services through secure, reliable REST APIs.
  • Create reusable UI components and implement forms, client-side validation, state management, and error handling.
  • Improve frontend performance, responsive behavior, browser compatibility, and usability.
  • Troubleshoot frontend issues and work with developers to deliver complete features end to end.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, code review, and documentation.
  • Advance AI-powered automation across the software development lifecycle.
  • Review code, uphold engineering practices, and mentor team members.
  • Work with the Engineering Manager, QA teams, and developers to deliver the technology roadmap.
  • Join on-call rotations, resolve production incidents, analyze root causes, and make preventive improvements.

Cerințe

  • Professional experience developing backend software with Java 21+ and Spring Boot.
  • Strong grasp of microservices architecture, distributed systems, REST API design, and event-driven architecture.
  • Practical experience designing and integrating APIs, handling authentication and authorization, and securing applications.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka or a comparable event-streaming technology.
  • Strong SQL and relational database skills, including query and index optimization.
  • Experience building and operating applications on AWS, including serverless services.
  • Understanding of unit and integration testing, CI/CD, observability, production troubleshooting, and secure development.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and deliver reliable, maintainable, high-performance solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Vue.js and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Ability to build and maintain frontend components, integrate REST APIs, and troubleshoot UI issues.
  • Understanding of frontend architecture, state management, responsive design, and client-side validation.
  • Able to deliver straightforward to moderately complex frontend features independently, without deep frontend specialization.
  • Experience using Node.js and NestJS for backend services.
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for automation and tooling.
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted coding tools and interest in using AI to improve development productivity and software quality.
  • Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to own deliverables and work effectively in a cross-functional engineering team.
  • Preferred: Experience designing and operating cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of distributed transaction patterns, resilience strategies, caching, and performance optimization.
  • Preferred: Experience automating development and operational workflows with AI.
  • Preferred: Experience contributing to architectural decisions, reviewing code, and mentoring developers.
