Senior Azure Government Cloud Engineer

Lead the foundational Azure Government environment for M-Files’ federal offering. Own Terraform, Kubernetes, security controls, FedRAMP evidence, and operational readiness.

Descriere

  • Design and deliver the Azure Government environment supporting M-Files’ federal offering
  • Own infrastructure as code and deployment pipelines, ensuring every environment change is versioned, reviewed, and redeployable
  • Implement security architecture spanning Microsoft Sentinel, log routing, Defender for Cloud, STIG/CIS baselines, and FIPS-mode Windows and Linux compute
  • Develop customer-managed-key infrastructure in partnership with the product team
  • Create the machine-readable evidence pipeline required for FedRAMP 20x
  • Collaborate daily with advisory partner engineers on endpoint security deployment
  • Document operating procedures for federal-timeframe patching, authenticated monthly scans, backup and restore tests, break-glass access, and on-call coverage
  • Lead the on-call rotation as the team is established
  • Support third-party control assessments, provide requested evidence, and remediate findings
  • Deploy the Azure Government environment from code against the approved reference architecture
  • Transition the environment to stable operations with documented runbooks and an active on-call rotation

Cerințe

  • At least 7 years of cloud infrastructure or platform engineering experience, including 3 or more years working hands-on with Azure at production scale
  • Azure Government experience is strongly preferred
  • Advanced Terraform experience and a firm infrastructure-as-code practice with reviewed, redeployable changes rather than manual edits
  • Production Kubernetes experience, preferably AKS, including Windows node pools and containerized .NET workloads
  • Working knowledge of Azure security services including Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Azure Policy, Private Link, Entra ID, and managed identities
  • Experience building or operating systems governed by FedRAMP, DoD CC SRG, StateRAMP/GovRAMP, or comparable regulated frameworks such as PCI, ISO 27001, or SOC 2
  • Familiarity with FIPS 140 and STIG hardening
  • Ability to explain technical controls clearly and confidently to non-engineering assessors
  • U.S. person status as a citizen or lawful permanent resident, with the ability to work from the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background screening and identity verification to NIST SP 800-63A Identity Assurance Level 2
  • Annual acknowledgement of federal-environment Rules of Behavior and completion of role-based security training
  • Participation in the annual incident-response exercise
  • Willingness to join an on-call rotation or provide coverage during U.S. business hours
  • FedRAMP 20x or OSCAL and machine-readable compliance experience is preferred
  • Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500) or Azure Solutions Architect certification is preferred
  • Experience moving a commercial SaaS product into a sovereign or government cloud is preferred
