Senior Accountant – Malaysia Remote

Manage multi-entity accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting for Rimini Street’s enterprise software support business. Support monthly close, statutory filings, and ERP improvements while working remotely from Malaysia.

Descriere

  • Process vendor invoices and payments.
  • Track prepaid expenses and related activity.
  • Record monthly payroll transactions and general-ledger accruals.
  • Handle fixed-asset accounting.
  • Prepare balance-sheet reconciliations.
  • Assemble schedules for quarterly and annual foreign-subsidiary filings.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax, and Treasury to support operations and maintain accurate entries.
  • Coordinate with external accounting firms on tax, audit, and statutory reporting deadlines.
  • Maintain Sarbanes-Oxley-compliant internal-controls documentation.
  • Recommend accounting-process improvements that reduce errors and processing time.
  • Support ERP implementation and ongoing system enhancements.
  • Complete special projects and ad hoc analyses.
  • Report to the Senior Manager of International Accounting.
  • Work with the parent company to record daily transactions for multiple legal entities.
  • Help deliver timely monthly close and financial reporting.

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • At least five years of accounting or public-audit experience.
  • Experience with US GAAP reporting and public-company standards, including Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC requirements, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local accounting requirements is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365 and/or BlackLine is a plus.
  • Experience supporting foreign subsidiaries and currency translation.
  • Strong analytical, technical-accounting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to meet strict, time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong multitasking skills and flexibility when shifting between projects.
  • Ability to prepare complex, detailed reconciliations that auditors can readily interpret.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of debits, credits, and the multidimensional effects of the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
  • Understanding of how journal entries flow through each financial statement.
