Mental Health Therapist - California Hybrid

Provide licensed individual and group counseling through telemedicine for Community Health Center patients across Ascend Healthcare’s integrated behavioral health programs. The role supports recovery through evidence-based treatment, crisis intervention, multidisciplinary case planning, and case management.

Descriere

  • Deliver remote counseling and therapy through telemedicine to patients served by Community Health Center partners
  • Provide evidence-based individual and group treatment using approaches such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, psychoeducation, trauma therapy, addiction therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and grief counseling
  • Involve patients actively in developing and following their treatment plans
  • Review and sign psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and consents when required
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and document services in line with clinical, contractual, regulatory, and legal standards
  • Provide crisis intervention for individuals and families in accordance with established safety plans
  • Contribute to case planning alongside the multidisciplinary care team
  • Take part in individual and group clinical supervision
  • Complete continuing education, in-service training, post-tests, skill observations, and competency evaluations
  • Deliver case management services that support recovery and reintegration into the community
  • Handle additional responsibilities as assigned

Cerințe

  • Hold an active, unrestricted behavioral health license in California
  • Maintain active, unrestricted mental health licensure in both your primary state of residence and California
  • Hold an independent therapist credential such as LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT
  • Be comfortable providing care in a remote work environment
  • Have training or certification in evidence-based trauma approaches, including TF-CBT, EMDR, Brainspotting, somatic-based approaches, narrative therapy, psychodynamic attachment-based therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Polyvagal Theory, or Family Systems (IFS)
  • Bring a patient-centered approach to care
  • Be able to remain seated for extended periods during working hours
  • Have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to use a keyboard, mouse, and office equipment
  • Have sufficient vision to read computer screens and documents
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally during virtual meetings and correspondence
  • Have adequate hearing for telephone and virtual meetings
  • Maintain a quiet, dedicated workspace with dependable internet access
  • Successfully complete comprehensive background checks and drug screening as a condition of employment
