IT Quality Analyst (Intermediate) – Chennai Hybrid
Join Citi as an intermediate IT Quality Analyst in a hybrid Chennai role focused on Selenium automation, API and database testing, and CI/CD integration. Build reliable QA frameworks and support software quality across technology operations.
Descriere
- Partner with development, product, and QA colleagues to clarify requirements and establish thorough test strategies
- Create, enhance, and support Java-based automated tests with Selenium WebDriver
- Prepare and run manual test plans and detailed test cases
- Carry out functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing
- Build and maintain automation frameworks using Page Object Model, TestNG or JUnit, and Cucumber BDD
- Run automated suites, interpret findings, and coordinate defect resolution with developers
- Connect automated test suites to CI/CD platforms including Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps
- Test APIs with tools such as Postman and Swagger
- Verify database behavior through SQL queries
- Review test automation code with peers
- Communicate testing progress, defect trends, and product quality results to stakeholders
- Evaluate and adopt relevant testing tools, technologies, and methods
- Help advance software quality processes and working practices
Cerințe
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience
- At least five years of quality assurance experience with a substantial emphasis on test automation
- Demonstrated ability to design and develop automated tests with Selenium WebDriver
- Strong programming ability in at least one object-oriented language, such as Java, Python, or C#
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks including TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, NUnit, or comparable tools
- Practical command of the Page Object Model design pattern
- Experience creating manual test plans and cases and performing functional, integration, system, regression, and exploratory testing
- Working knowledge of Git and other version control systems
- Experience connecting automated tests to CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to use SQL for database verification
- Careful, analytical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving
- Clear written and spoken communication skills
- Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within an agile team
- Cucumber or another BDD framework is preferred
- Experience with performance tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is preferred
- Understanding of security testing principles and tools is preferred
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred
- Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes is preferred
- Relevant QA or test automation certification is preferred
- Mobile application test automation experience is preferred
