Field Service Technician, Forklifts

Repair and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment for HTX Material Handling across customer sites in Texas. Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and engine systems, including Linde, Baoli, and other makes.

Descriere

  • Carry out scheduled maintenance, breakdown repairs, and troubleshooting on Linde, Baoli, and other forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Repair or replace electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, LPG, power steering, transmission, and engine components with limited supervision.
  • Identify and order replacement parts.
  • Diagnose truck components and complex electrical systems on internal combustion and electric trucks.
  • Perform engine tune-ups on most equipment makes independently.
  • Complete preventive maintenance promptly.
  • Operate and maintain the service van safely and securely.
  • Train and mentor apprentice mechanics through on-the-job guidance.
  • Provide customer service while representing the company.
  • Support customers throughout the HTX Material Handling service area.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Cerințe

  • Experience maintaining lift trucks or forklifts is required.
  • High school diploma, GED, or other technical training.
  • Two to five years of experience repairing and maintaining industrial equipment or machinery.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record, maintained throughout employment.
  • Ability to repair equipment consistent with demonstrated skill level.
  • Basic computer skills, including use of PCs, tablets, and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in industrial equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to use specialized tools and properly maintain and use standard trade tools.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.
  • Ability to work throughout the HTX Material Handling service area and at customer sites.
