Descriere

  • Develop pricing assumptions for healthcare insurance products
  • Prepare and submit bids
  • File premium rates and rate certifications with regulatory agencies for approval
  • Support the implementation of rates, new plans, and benefit changes
  • Advise Product Development on the cost effects of proposed products and benefits
  • Create and maintain tools for pricing standard and custom benefits
  • Set market-level financial metrics that support segment profitability objectives
  • Evaluate business results and financial projections
  • Recommend pricing actions to close gaps against targeted performance
  • Use market projections and experience-data tools to identify root causes and actionable insights
  • Monitor and assess the competitive landscape
  • Partner with Sales and other market-support teams to develop profitable membership growth strategies
  • Complete actuarial certifications for rate filings, including attestations of compliance with state and federal rating and benefit regulations
  • Set work methods and priorities while operating within established direction

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least one actuarial exam completed successfully
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, including identifying automation and process-streamlining opportunities, improving efficiency, and adapting to change
  • Ability to work a schedule aligned with the Eastern Time Zone
  • Home internet service with minimum download speeds of 25 Mbps and upload speeds of 10 Mbps
  • Dedicated home workspace without ongoing interruptions to safeguard member PHI and HIPAA information
