Senior SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager

Lead SEC reporting and US GAAP accounting for a global ride-hailing company. Oversee complex transactions, disclosures, accounting policies, auditor coordination, and SOX readiness.

Apraksts

  • Advise on complex transactions, including M&A and business combinations (ASC 805), financing, revenue recognition (ASC 606), impairment, financial instruments, and foreign currency matters.
  • Prepare and review SEC-style financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures, and help establish public-company reporting processes.
  • Research and document US GAAP accounting matters, reach conclusions, and draft position memos and related journal entries.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies across global entities, aligning them with new standards and SEC guidance.
  • Partner with global accounting, FP&A, Legal, and HR teams to assess the accounting impact of deals, financings, commercial arrangements, and new initiatives.
  • Coordinate with external auditors on accounting conclusions, support audit reviews, and resolve technical issues.
  • Take ownership of issues from start to finish and provide clear recommendations.
  • Support internal control design and SOX readiness for technical accounting and reporting processes.

Prasības

  • Hold an active CPA license.
  • Bring 8–12 years of experience, including Big Four audit or advisory work and technical accounting or SEC reporting for a public filer.
  • Demonstrate hands-on US GAAP expertise in M&A, financing, and revenue recognition, as well as impairment, financial instruments, and foreign currency.
  • Experience at a technology or IT company with $500 million to $2.5 billion in revenue is a strong plus.
  • NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Have strong accounting research and memo-writing skills.
  • Be able to reach conclusions on technical matters and explain them clearly to auditors, management, and non-accountants.
  • Work independently, solve problems, and take ownership.
  • Partner effectively across functions and with global teams in different time zones.
  • Be based in the United States in the Eastern or Central time zone.
