Senior Accounting Associate - Turkey Remote

Senior Accounting Associate responsible for U.S. bookkeeping, tax compliance, audits, financial analysis, and client accounting operations at Manay CPA. Full-time remote role based in Turkey.

Apraksts

  • Manage new-client onboarding, configure accounting systems, and support seamless transitions
  • Oversee daily bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end close, and financial reporting and analysis
  • Review junior staff work and provide guidance when needed
  • Operate company systems for accounting, reporting, and tax activities
  • Prepare and review payroll, sales tax filings, depreciation schedules, and related accounting records
  • Coordinate audit preparation and oversee full-cycle reconciliations
  • Evaluate financial data to forecast revenue, assess margins, and deliver actionable insights
  • Prepare and submit U.S. corporate and individual income tax returns, including 1099 forms and year-end filings
  • Investigate complex accounting and tax matters and develop practical resolutions
  • Spot ways to strengthen clients’ accounting, tax, and financial processes
  • Contribute to organization-wide process improvement initiatives
  • Direct special projects and prepare financial reports
  • Coach and mentor junior team members

Prasības

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related discipline
  • At least 4–5 years of accounting, audit, and/or tax experience
  • Previous experience in an outsourced or multi-client accounting environment is required
  • Turkish CPA (SMMM) certification is strongly preferred
  • US GAAP experience is advantageous; comprehensive training will be provided
  • Experience reviewing or mentoring junior accounting professionals is preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Substantial experience using accounting software systems
  • Ability to perform sophisticated, creative analysis of complex data
  • Excellent written and spoken Business English; all interviews will be conducted in English
  • Strong commitment to a long-term accounting and tax career, with the drive to develop into a leadership position
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and sound independent judgment
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize, multitask, and work independently in ambiguous, fast-paced settings
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, including the ability to guide and support less experienced colleagues
  • A dedicated home-office setup
  • Availability to work according to U.S. Eastern Time hours
  • Willingness to travel when required
