Remote Microsoft Dataverse Data Architect

Design secure, scalable Microsoft Power Platform solutions using Dataverse for DHS Customs and Border Protection. Connect Dataverse with Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and external systems.

Apraksts

  • Build and govern scalable data models and integration solutions with Microsoft Dataverse and Power Platform
  • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical Dataverse models, including tables, relationships, business rules, and calculated or rollup fields
  • Set Dataverse architecture standards, reusable patterns, naming conventions, and best practices
  • Design and document Dataverse security across roles, teams, record and field access, auditing, and environments
  • Architect integrations across Dataverse, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, and external systems
  • Assist with data migration, transformation, mapping, validation, and quality management
  • Design dataflows, virtual tables, APIs, connectors, and other enterprise data exchange mechanisms
  • Help plan Power Platform environments for development, testing, staging, and production
  • Support application lifecycle management, including solutions, publishers, versioning, deployments, and releases
  • Assess Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server, Azure SQL, data lakes, and other storage options against business and technical needs
  • Support reporting and analytics with Power BI, Dataverse connectors, and data export options
  • Set data governance practices for ownership, quality, retention, classification, metadata, and access
  • Translate business needs into technical designs with stakeholders across business, architecture, development, security, privacy, and governance
  • Review solution designs for scale, performance, security, compliance, and maintainability
  • Document data flows, access patterns, integrations, data dictionaries, entity relationships, and architecture decisions
  • Help meet organizational requirements for data handling, privacy, records management, and cybersecurity
  • Work with DHS CBP PMO stakeholders and technical experts on research, evaluation, development, testing, and evaluation activities
  • Travel 20%, including possible trips to remote or rugged locations

Prasības

  • 3–10 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
  • Experience designing and implementing Microsoft Dataverse data architectures
  • Experience with Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Power BI
  • Strong knowledge of Dataverse table design, relationships, security, business rules, and environment management
  • Experience integrating Dataverse with external systems through APIs, connectors, dataflows, Azure services, or middleware
  • Experience with the Dataverse Web API, OData, REST APIs, and custom connectors
  • Experience with Azure integration services such as Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Data Factory, or API Management
  • Experience with data migration, transformation, mapping, and quality management
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 data structures and extensibility
  • Understanding of data governance, metadata, retention, auditing, and compliance
  • Ability to gather requirements from business and technical stakeholders and turn them into scalable data architecture
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills
  • Ability to support enterprise application development or modernization
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, data management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a CBP Background Investigation (BI)
  • Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
  • Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
  • Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate
  • Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Data Engineer Associate
  • Preferred: Experience in federal, public sector, or regulated environments
  • Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data catalog and governance tools
  • Preferred: Experience with Power Platform CI/CD using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Power Platform Build Tools
  • Preferred: Experience with Power Platform Center of Excellence governance models
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the Common Data Model and Dynamics 365 industry accelerators
