Aprašymas

  • Design and build Airbnb’s next-generation Payments Platform.
  • Develop scalable, highly available systems for high-volume daily transactions.
  • Deliver reliable, well-instrumented services and product features from start to finish.
  • Create modular, observable backend services with clear APIs.
  • Work with product managers, data scientists, and operations to turn business needs into product features.
  • Guide features from ideation and planning through implementation and A/B testing.
  • Configure and improve monitoring and alerts to strengthen system quality and reliability.
  • Write thoroughly tested, high-quality code and review teammates’ work.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams across Airbnb to improve technical foundations and engineering practices.

Reikalavimai

  • At least five years of backend software engineering experience, ideally in payments or fintech.
  • Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
  • Experience with microservices, including RPC frameworks, service IDLs, and dependency injection.
  • Familiarity with React or a comparable JavaScript framework.
  • Experience with architecture for large-scale web applications, including well-designed APIs, high-volume data pipelines, and efficient algorithms.
  • Experience delivering products end to end, including A/B testing.
  • Commitment to code quality, automated testing, and sound engineering practices.
  • Strong communication and attention to detail, with experience working across functions.
  • Ability to make data-informed decisions and explain technical tradeoffs clearly.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
