- Design, build, and operate Field Nation’s internal developer platform and tools.
- Help engineering teams focus on developing product features.
- Guide and mentor teams in cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, monitoring, alerting, and operational excellence.
- Join the on-call rotation for platform and tooling incidents during working hours.
- Create monitoring that detects symptoms before they become outages.
- Use metrics and data to drive ongoing product improvements.
- Set and track appropriate SLIs, and consistently meet or exceed SLOs.
- Improve platform architecture and tooling to reduce toil and strengthen resilience and scalability.
- Apply sound engineering practices to deliver durable solutions and prevent recurring issues.
- Use chaos engineering to test monitoring, resilience, and high availability and disaster recovery commitments.
- Work across engineering teams to encourage effective platform use and find further improvements.
Reikalavimai
- At least 5 years using CI/CD tools such as GitOps, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab; GitHub Actions or Workflows are preferred.
- At least 4 years of hands-on DevOps, DevSecOps, or SRE experience.
- At least 3 years building secure, scalable, resilient infrastructure as code, preferably with Terraform, and applying standard SDLC methods to cloud infrastructure.
- At least 3 years working with Kubernetes, preferably EKS, and Docker.
- At least 3 years creating automation and tools with scripting or programming languages.
- At least 2 years building and operating cloud-native applications with Docker and one or more programming languages; Node.js, PHP, or Go are preferred.
- Strong background in and enthusiasm for building secure solutions.
- Working knowledge of defining and managing SLIs and SLOs and using error budgets.
- Strong English skills and clear verbal and written communication.
- Emotional intelligence and the ability to collaborate under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related field, or relevant work experience; the stated preferred experience is a degree or relevant experience.
- Prior experience building and operating an internal developer platform and tools.
- Experience with Flux and Helm.
- Broad working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, MKS, RDS, and S3.
- Operational experience with networking, certificate management, DNS, content delivery networks, and identity management.
- Experience with observability tools, preferably Datadog.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
