Senior Counsel, California Remote
Defend insurers in complex litigation and trials while setting case strategy and managing client relationships. The role also includes guiding junior attorneys at Tyson & Mendes, a national civil defense firm.

- Create case themes that counter plaintiff sympathy or anger tactics
- Handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials independently
- Collaborate with colleagues across experience levels
- Maintain regular communication with clients
- Build relationships with current and prospective clients
- Guide and support less experienced attorneys
- Lead high-exposure, complex litigation matters and case teams
Reikalavimai
- Hold a JD from an ABA-approved school
- Have an active California bar license
- Be licensed in your state
- Bring at least 8 years of substantial litigation experience, including litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation
- Be able to manage cases from start to finish, including all aspects of discovery and trial
- Insurance defense experience is preferred
- Have experience using time management systems
- Be proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Have excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
