  • Lead albo’s Accounting and FP&A teams, reporting to the CFO
  • Take ownership of group financial accuracy, regulatory reporting and internal controls
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closes, with the monthly close completed by D+10
  • Review balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports, resolving significant reconciliation issues
  • Ensure statements meet Mexican NIF and CNBV accounting criteria, as well as consolidated IFRS requirements
  • Oversee reconciliations among operating systems, banks and the ledger, including payment settlements and loan portfolios
  • Review lending accounting for interest, fees, IFRS 9 expected credit losses, write-offs and recoveries
  • Manage financial regulatory reporting to CNBV and Banco de México
  • Oversee SAT filings, tax reconciliations and payments, along with supporting documentation
  • Coordinate transfer pricing and cross-border tax matters with specialist advisers
  • Lead external audit coordination in Mexico and the UK
  • Review group consolidation, intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation
  • Coordinate UK statutory accounts and filings
  • Manage the annual budget and rolling forecasts, and review variance analysis
  • Evaluate profitability and unit economics by product and segment
  • Support the CFO with financial models, board reports, investor materials and lender information
  • Review liquidity forecasts and track financial covenants with Treasury
  • Improve controls, close processes and reporting using NetSuite, automation and ongoing process improvements
  • Advise teams on accounting, tax and finance matters related to new products, partnerships and funding arrangements

  • Bring at least 10 years of experience in accounting, controlling or finance
  • Have direct responsibility for budgets, forecasts and financial analysis
  • Have experience leading and developing accounting and FP&A teams
  • Know CNBV accounting criteria and financial regulatory reporting at a regulated Mexican financial institution
  • Bring strong IFRS knowledge and experience with group consolidation and intercompany accounting
  • Have a track record of timely financial closes, external audits and regulatory reporting
  • Have used NetSuite (Oracle) or a comparable ERP
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including profitability analysis, operational drivers and cash flow forecasting
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • Be professionally fluent in spoken and written English
  • Be able to lead technical accounting and finance discussions with international auditors, investors and lenders
  • Experience with IFPEs, payments or lending is a plus
  • Experience coordinating UK audits or statutory accounts is a plus
  • Recent ERP implementation experience for groups with multiple legal entities is a plus
  • CPC certification is a plus
  • Experience in fintech or high-growth companies is a plus
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and work across teams
