Build and modernize cloud data pipelines and analytics platforms for CenterWell, Humana’s integrated healthcare services business. The role also includes mentoring engineers and improving data engineering practices.

- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Create and optimize data models, curated datasets, and data products for reporting, operational analytics, and advanced analysis.
- Work with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and engineers to turn requirements into technical solutions.
- Set and promote practices for data quality, testing, monitoring, documentation, lineage, and governance.
- Investigate and resolve data issues in production.
- Maintain the reliability, performance, and scalability of data platforms.
- Support platform modernization through cloud architectures and engineering automation.
- Take part in code reviews, technical design reviews, and architecture planning.
- Guide and support fellow engineers.
- Advance engineering quality and continuous improvement.

- At least five years of progressive data engineering experience.
- Advanced SQL skills for data modeling, query optimization, and large-scale data processing.
- Strong Python skills for data engineering, automation, and pipeline development.
- Experience designing and maintaining enterprise-scale ETL/ELT solutions.
- Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
- Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD, version control, automated testing, and sound engineering practices.
- Clear communication and collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
- Home internet with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
- A dedicated, interruption-free workspace to protect member PHI and HIPAA information.
