Senior AI Researcher, AISWP (Hybrid) at Cisco
Lead generative AI research for Cisco’s purpose-built language models supporting networking, security, and observability. Publish research and translate new methods into Cisco products and solutions.

- Investigate foundational representations tailored to networking domains
- Develop specialized large language models for Cisco networking, security, data center, and observability infrastructure

- Pursue generative AI research that strengthens networking automation and human-computer interaction
- Partner with engineers and strategists across functions to bring research advances into business solutions
- Publish findings in leading AI venues and contribute to the wider research community

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science with 7 years of related experience, master’s degree with 4 years, or PhD with 1 year
- Background in LLM pre-training and post-training gained in industry or academic research
- At least three publications in leading AI venues, including ACL, EMNLP, ICLR, ICML, NAACL, or NeurIPS
- Experience with machine learning models and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or equivalent platforms
- Experience leading research projects in an industry or university lab, including full-time or internship work
- Interest in combining representation learning with problem-specific properties
- Experience developing and fine-tuning foundation models, including LLMs, multimodal models, or domain-specific models
- Advanced knowledge of generative AI, large language models, and multimodal models
- Ability to apply these technologies creatively to emerging business problems, use cases, and scenarios
