Manage complex health research data for Avera Research Institute by building databases, maintaining data quality, and supporting statistical analysis for studies and publications.

- Create visualizations, figures, tables, and results for journal articles, reports, and presentations.
- Explain data management practices to researchers and study staff.
- Advise researchers and study staff throughout the study process.
- Protect data integrity and reproducibility.

- Bachelor’s degree in a science, mathematics, statistics, or data science program.
- Experience in scientific research.
- Statistical programming experience with tools such as R, SAS, SPSS, or Python.
- Experience building and managing databases.
- Ability to work the specified hours.
- Visual acuity sufficient to perform the position’s duties.
- Ability to communicate effectively and to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
- Ability to satisfactorily perform each essential job function.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in a science, mathematics, statistics, or data science program.
- Preferred: Experience with consulting, statistical analysis, other programming languages, or the REDCap electronic data capture system.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
