  • Manage daily Xero bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across different industries
  • Process and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
  • Send client expense invoices to Dext and transfer Dext invoices into Xero
  • Prepare aged payables, batch payments, creditors reports, and bank ABA files
  • Raise client sales invoices as instructed
  • Prepare and process wages while maintaining employee records
  • Prepare and process employer superannuation obligations
  • Submit payroll data electronically to the ATO under Single Touch Payroll requirements
  • Manage client debtors using automated reminders and statements
  • Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS
  • Complete GST reconciliations and support PAYG withholding activities
  • Maintain general ledgers and investigate discrepancies
  • Prepare manual journals in Xero
  • Prepare weekly reports and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including month-end journals
  • Prepare financial reports from Xero, with a focus on management reporting
  • Compile bookkeeping files and supporting schedules for accountants and year-end financial statements
  • Support clients with bookkeeping questions and accounting software
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation
  • Contact clients for missing information and resolve queries
  • Deliver accurate work within agreed deadlines
  • Support additional bookkeeping and administrative tasks
  • Coordinate with the internal team to deliver services on time and meet client expectations

Талаптар

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an Australian accounting or bookkeeping practice
  • Knowledge of Australian bookkeeping, GST, BAS, payroll, and superannuation requirements is preferred but not mandatory
  • Practical Xero experience is essential
  • Experience with Dext, Deputy, Lightspeed, Square, or similar platforms is advantageous
  • Strong skills in bank, payroll, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures
  • Careful attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and competing priorities
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence speaking directly to clients
  • Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, Diploma of Accounting, accounting degree, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Xero certification is an advantage
  • Availability for 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM South Australian Time, with adjustments for daylight saving time
