  • Lead daily operations and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including through dotted-line leadership.
  • Automate and refine infrastructure and cloud security governance dashboards, scorecards, and maturity models.
  • Coordinate governance reporting initiatives with Verizon’s India team.
  • Support the design of GTS on-premises networks, data centers, and cloud environments.
  • Bring the GTS enterprise network into alignment with zero trust principles.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify security gaps and improve processes.
  • Apply automation tools to assess program effectiveness.
  • Deliver security awareness, training, and compliance programs on network cybersecurity practices.
  • Use the Mavens program to encourage adoption of Security by Design.
  • Work with Verizon Cybersecurity teams on active defense, incident response, penetration testing, red team and threat hunting campaigns, and tabletop exercises.
  • Prepare operational updates, metrics, and project status reports for executives.
  • Carry out short- and long-term strategic goals and share progress with stakeholders.
  • Guide and advise network and infrastructure analysts and engineers.
  • Run focused training sessions to develop new and specialized skills.
  • Encourage collaboration, accountability, problem-solving, sound decision-making, and process improvement.

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least four years of work experience.
  • At least six years of relevant experience through work, military service, or specialized training.
  • Background in information security, network technology, or technical risk analysis.
  • Experience scripting and programming to automate data parsing and API interactions and to build custom tools.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets, including NetFlow, firewall, DNS, proxy, and VPN logs.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, or Hadoop.
  • Experience creating, editing, and running Ansible playbooks to automate, configure, and orchestrate security deployments across varied network devices and servers.
  • Understanding of how to build and configure dashboards and visualizations with tools such as Grafana.
  • Broad knowledge of cybersecurity, network defense, and investigative frameworks, including NIST CSF, the ISO 27000 series, MITRE ATT&CK, and the Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain.
  • General knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and OCI.
  • General knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux, and macOS operating systems.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, Security+, or CISSP are an advantage.
