Working Student, GEO Data & Backend (Cologne Hybrid)

Support generative AI marketing analytics by building data pipelines and backend automation. Help improve GEO measurement quality through API integrations, Google Cloud workflows, and customer data validation.

Description

  • Build JavaScript/Node.js and Python scripts to ingest, normalize, and validate raw GEO measurement data
  • Connect APIs for search data, AI systems, external sources, internal tools, and MCP while managing errors and rate limits
  • Use Google Cloud, BigQuery, Looker Studio, and Cloud Functions in data workflows
  • Automate quality assurance checks for measurement runs
  • Assess structured customer information, including schema.org, JSON-LD, and knowledge graph entries
  • Record differences between structured data and real-world conditions
  • Document solutions clearly so others can maintain them after the role ends
  • Help manage the GEO measurement data layer through ingestion, validation, enrichment, and analysis preparation

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Media Informatics, Business Informatics, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable discipline
  • Practical development experience with JavaScript or Python
  • Understanding of REST APIs
  • Experience converting externally sourced data into proprietary structures
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Proficiency with Git
  • Excellent German and English language skills
  • A precise, detail-focused approach to work
  • Interest in data, relationships, automation, and modern large language models
  • Experience with Google Cloud, BigQuery, or Looker Studio is advantageous
  • Strong motivation and eagerness to learn
  • Application including a self-built repository, script, or university project
